Kansai, Kyoto

関西地方

Kansai (or Kinki) region is the heavily populated area between Osaka and Nagoya. Some popular mountains here include Mt. Rokko and Mt. Kongo.

The southern peninsula houses the important Yoshima Kumano Nature Park. On the coastal region is the popular pilgrimage trail Kumano Kodo. And of course there is the Kinki (or Kansai) Nature Trail.
