Himmerland Trail, Løgstrup (close to Viborg) - Løgstør, 70 km, 4 days

This path in northern Jutland is a must for lovers of old railways. It uses an old railway track. Until 1999 it was used by an old freight train. In 2006 it was turned into a cycling and walking paths (it seems it has taken as long to build this railway as to dismantle it: 4 years).

You can walk, cycle (Regional Cycling Road 31) or ride a gravel surface. In slow motion you will experience a train ride through a hilly landscape created by the ice: fields, marshes, forests and small market towns.
