Lea Valley Walk, Hertford

50 miles. 80 km.

If you want to experience what it's like to leave a metropolis on foot and end up in rural tranquility, then the Lea Valley Walk is for you. It starts in East London, at the mouth of the River Lea where it joins the Thames, and runs northward to the source of the River Lea. The trail runs largely on the towpath along the channeled River Lea, and forms a nice pair with another river walk right through London, the Thames Path.
